Alex's brother Len is staying with us this week, which is wonderful. We lived with him for a few years before he headed up to Connecticut a couple years ago. He's in town for Derby City Comic Con, where he will have a booth. He is the author of this book, and several other things. He's quite a talented guy.
Last night we headed down to Waterfront Wednesday to meet up with some friends and enjoy the beautiful evening and some tunes. Len doesn't know how to ride a bike, so he rode on the back of the tandem with Al, while I rode mine. It was a perfect evening for a bike ride, and it was great seeing so many bicycles there. People were parking them anywhere and everywhere (we even had to lock up to a trash can). It's a wonderful thing to see.
I also really enjoyed getting to wear my new Michael Kors kicks, purchased yesterday morning at the 6pm outlet, for $115 below retail. Woo Hoo!
I hope you are enjoying your summer. Here in Louisville, we are getting hit with triple digit temperatures, so we are spending lots of time inside with the pups we are watching for a couple of weeks.
