I'm a little late to the party (okay, 6 years late), but I have just discovered Beirut. I found them on another blog, and have been hooked for the past week or so. I love the different world music influences on different albums. My favorite album so far is The Flying Club Cup, because of the Parisian influence (I love all things French lately). I also found the story of the band's progression interesting.
